So I am sitting in Panera because they have free wi-fi and because it is usually a whole lot quiter than my house. (Some friends from church just sat down next to me. It is amazing the web of friends and family in Christ.) There has been this growing sense from the Holy Spirit that I need to be doing somethings differently in my life. This blog is one step I am taking to try to follow that leading. I do not really know what I am doing here. It's kinda like that first day at a new school. You know that there is so much to do and so much to learn but you really have no idea where to sit, or where to stand, or where to put your lunch box, or where your classes are, or where the bathroom is located, or who to talk to. That is exactly what I feel right now. I dont really know who I am writing this to, or who will ever see this, or what I will write about, or what God is going to do with my submission to His Spirit. But here I am trying to follow. If you would like to follow along with me I would be humbled and honored.
So that is where I am going to leave this first posting. God is leading, I am stummbling along trying to follow the best I can. The greatest feeling that I have right now is that I know His hand is firmly wrapped around mine. (Just saying that brings tears to my eyes and the little girl from church is looking at me and wondering what in the heck I am crying for.) The truth is, that even though I don't really have a clue where this path leads, I know that our God has traveled this way many times. Because of that, I will just tighten my grip on my Fathers and keep on walking.
